She led students in a day-long reflection on the steps in qualitative data gathering and analysis which they had practiced during the preceding days, guiding their reflection on the meaning of the steps in the research process, and their experiences of those steps, through the lens of Husserl&#8217;s phenomenological psychology, especially the first volume of Husserl&#8217;s <em>Ideas,<\/em>\u00a0and the <em>Cartesian Meditations<\/em>.
